Premium water brand FIJI hasn’t missed one South by Southwest event in the last four years. The interactive, film and music
festival attracts an educated and discerning consumer, which according to the brand is its target, too. Though FIJI isn’t an official sponsor of the
festival it marks its presence at prestigious events held throughout the event. This year it also organized a more intimate invitation-only brunch on March 17 at the historic Moonshine Café (one of its accounts) gathering musicians, bloggers and opinion leaders to grab a bite (we’re still thinking about those cornflake chicken tenders), listen to a live performance by Canadian band Yukon Blonde, network and, of course, sip FIJI water.
For the rest of its stay in Austin, FIJI sponsored the VIP Swagg Café (Swagg is the Smartphone app that sends digital gifts) at Moonshine’s Patio Bar and Grill, which was open to top tier musicians and media and featured complimentary drinks, massages and more. FIJI was also visible at the Spin/MySpace Loft on Sixth Street where Spin magazine conducted interviews streamed live on MySpace. And, during the highly-anticipated Perez Hilton’s One Night in Austin concert, featuring big music names like rappers Snoop Dog and Kanye West, FIJI was on hand to quench artists’ thirsts and rejuvenate them with massage therapists back stage. The sponsorship also served as a buzz builder for FIJI’s online activities at fijiwater.com, @fijiwater and facebook.com/fijiwater.
