Create. Innovate. Celebrate. That was the theme of the HP-Intel rooftop experience at CES 2017 where interactive installations, virtual reality, 3D animations, Google Tilt Brush and headliner performances by British EDM duo Disclosure engaged the crowd.
Held at the Vortex space atop Las Vegas’s LINQ Hotel, the Jan. 5 event provided a “high point” for HP and Intel at the tech trade show. Each element of the experience, including a 35-foot dome and 10-foot LED screens, had to be lifted onto the fifth-floor venue by cranes. Guests registered at a ground-floor registration desk, then branded elevators whisked them to the Vortex, which is named for the whirling, ever-changing hues of its overhead lighting. Product displays lined the venue entrance and HP and Intel gobos were projected in front of each main entry way.
Nearly 1,200 key customers, channel partners and VIPs attended the experience, watching 3D animations on the overhead dome, playing a virtual reality Light Strike Game, creating light patterns in a Reflection Studies zone, having photos taken in a My 360 World experience and more.
“CES provided the ideal moment for HP to share our reinvention story with an engaged, target-rich partner audience,” says Emily Ketchen, head of HP Americas Marketing. “The experience was curated and ultimately powered by our beautiful products. The immersive, experiential stations drove home our story and showed guests how we’re truly reinventing across our business.”
