Elsevier, a leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, has hit the road to promote its new online clinical information resource with the ClinicalKey Mobile Experience Tour. The tour is designed to introduce physicians to the service and teach them about how it will change the way they search for and access content. The tour launched on Sept. 18 and will make 23 scheduled stops before wrapping on Nov. 30. Interested hospital and medical libraries can also request a special stop directly from the Elsevier website.
The experience can be deployed inside, in a conference area, or outside. Both experiences are all-day learning and demonstration centers that offer physicians and librarians an opportunity to experience ClinicalKey together, without any pressure. Elsevier has brand ambassadors on hand to talk about product features and benefits and answer questions and when meal times come along, the brand serves up some food, beverages and hospitality so that the guests can kick back and relax. The footprint covers a 20-foot by 25-foot space with a custom pod that unfolds into the event experience.
“Our customers for ClinicalKey are really the hospitals and institutions, so physicians become a purchase driver for us,” Karen Philip, executive marketing director at Elsevier, told Buzz. “We historically have a problem getting in front of hospital administrators and physicians, partly because of their time constraints, but we’ve found that once they get the product in their hands, that’s when the magic happens. So getting the product in their hands is really the goal for the tour.” Agency: Switch, St. Louis.
