Campaign: 75th Anniversary
Client: Old Dominion Freight Line

To celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Old Dominion Freight Line the company hit the road on a 27-city tour. It traveled in a customized 18-wheel tractor-trailer with interactive exhibits tracing the company’s history. In addition to educational videos the tour included a custom-built Nintendo Wii game radio controlled large model truck driving game a video diary booth and a photo activation station.

The tour had two targets. The first: transportation purchasers and logistics services like manufacturers and distribution organizations. The second: Old Dominion employees in the U.S. Canada and Mexico.

Visitors registered at laptops under a branded tent and were directed to explore the exhibit. Part of the experience included taking a black-and-white photo sitting in a vintage 1940s-era Old Dominion truck. Visitors were encouraged to check out od75.com for additional info. To access the site visitors were asked to provide their email for future contact.

More than 250 visitors from both target audiences attended each event; 95 percent registered and toured the trailer and event site.
