Ahhhh, lists. The Fortune 500. Best Places to Eat. People’s Sexiest, uh, people. As humans, we yearn for orderly categorizations of the world around us to make things just a little easier. And more manageable. Which is why for more than a decade the editors of Event Marketer have allowed agencies across the country to apply for what has become the first, only, most respected, most trusted and most used listing of top event marketing agencies. For brand marketers, the It List is an invaluable resource that helps newbies and seasoned pros alike get a sense of who they can trust with their business based on any number of criteria. Each agency has to name three specializations, so sports marketers can more easily find sports agencies with the chops to execute what they need, and b-to-b brands can skip the line and go straight to the b-to-b experts. Social and digital seem to be a “skill set” among most if not all agencies these days, but we require that the client list and work prove that it’s more than lip service.
